15 DAYS WILDLIFE AND PRIMATE SAFARI UGANDA

Our Amazing 15-Day Uganda Wildlife Scenes safari will take you to a number of wildlife parks, such as Lake Bunyonyi, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi National Park, and Murchison Falls. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to over half of the world's 1,004 mountain gorillas, and you can hike with them and see firsthand how they interact with their young, play, and nurse. It's a small experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.

One of the best spots in Uganda for wildlife viewing is also Kidepo Valley National Park, home to a diversity of animals rarely found anywhere else in the nation. Additionally, we will have the chance to tour Lake Bunyonyi, which is home to numerous bird species. Following that, you will arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may admire the breathtaking landscape and a diverse range of wildlife. A relaxed boat safari cruise down the Kazinga Channel is an additional choice, as there is a high probability of spotting wildlife and waterfowl relaxing on the banks.

DAY 1; TRAVEL TO NORTHERN UGANDA

You set out on the trek to Kidepo Valley National Park after eating an early breakfast. The goal for today is to spend the night in Kitgum due to the long drive. You pass Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way, have a stop over to do Rhino trekking for about 2 hours. The objective of Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is to bring rhinos back to Uganda. Later, while traveling north, stop for lunch in Gulu, the second-biggest town in Uganda. Proceed to the town of Kitgum to stay the night after this.

DAY 2; TRANSFER TO KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK

Proceed to our first National Park of the safari which is Kidepo Valley National Park, after breakfast. One of Africa's wildest and most breathtaking parks, Kidepo is surrounded by rugged mountains and forested hills with a landscape of wide plains and semi-arid savannah. Prior to visiting the park, engage in a cultural encounter at Karenna and Kapedo that will introduce you to Karamojong people. Have the chance to talk with and get to know the local elders. They will show you the grinding stones, the kraals, and a ton of other fascinating objects.

DAY 3; A MORNING AND EVENING GAME DRIVE

After an early morning breakfast, we set off for a game drive. The Kidepo Valley National Park boasts a landscape dotted with tiny hills, rocky outcrops, and inselbergs that provide breathtaking views in every direction. The place is surrounded with low grass lands and variety of cheetahs. Photographers can capture expansive vistas of the Narus River Valley and abundant animals from these locations. A wildlife drive across the Narus River Valley at night to see and photograph elephants, buffalo herds, jackals, Klipspringer, Jackson's hartebeest, and possibly lions

DAY 4; TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

 After an early morning breakfast, we shall have an early morning game drive to the Kanangorok hot spring area, where you can cross the sand river and also get to see Numerous creatures, such as ostriches wandering around. Later we shall proceed to Murchison falls then check into our hotels and rest for the night.

DAY 5; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE

Get up early to enjoy a tea or coffee, breakfast snack, and then go on a morning game drive in the park to observe a variety of wildlife, birds, and breathtaking views of the savanna.   Discover the extensive grasslands that are home to a wide variety of species in the park's northern region.
Numerous animals, including impalas, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and patas monkeys, have reportedly been sighted there. After this, you will head back to the resort for lunch and some downtime.

After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise Nile cruise for about two-hours, you can witness a variety of species along the Nile, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and other animals that come to drink and cool off in the water.  It’s also a place for bird lovers such as the bee-eaters, kingfishers, herons, fish eagles, and cormorants. Transfer back to the lodge after meeting the driver at the summit.

DAY 6; MURCHISON FALLS TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

The day will start with an early morning breakfast then you will head to kibale national park for chimpanzee tracking. Thirteen distinct ape species can be found in the area, and Kibale Forest is a breathtaking rainforest! include chimpanzees, baboons, L'hoest monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red, black, and white colobus, and chimpanzees. Since you'll arrive late, you'll check into the hotel for dinner and the night.

DAY 7; CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

Start the day with an early breakfast, then head into the forest with a packed lunch before the sun comes up. You meet your guide and then proceed to the area where the chimpanzees spent the night before.
You will discover how to recognize each chimpanzee as unique based on their markings, scars, and other characteristics that make them stand out from the rest. You'll have a ton of amazing pictures of the monkeys on your camera. Along with everything already mentioned, the colorful trees, plants, and butterflies in this area will wow you.

DAY 8; SEMILIKI HOTSPRING

Visit the Semliki National Park. This park features a meandering Semliki River, hot springs, a ramble through the woods, magnificent birds, and primate viewing opportunities. The road offers stunning views of the winding river, smoke-filled hot springs, and tropical jungle at Mungu Ni Mukubwa, which is located in the mountains. You will later visit the settlement of Bambuti, the Pygmies. At the Sempaya hot springs, you will have a picnic lunch before returning to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

DAY 9; TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH

After breakfast, drive into Queen Elizabeth National Park in the south, where you may enjoy the natural surroundings and see species like buffalos, elephants, and antelopes. An afternoon guided nature walks through the Maramagambo Forest, home of the renowned "Bat Cave" and a breathtaking blue lake hidden beneath its forested canopy, is included. Following the stroll, you will check into your lodgings, where you will spend the night and enjoy dinner.

DAY 10; GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE

After an early breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive along Kasenyi will offers you a chance to view variety of animal’s species which include the Uganda Kobs, water bucks, warthogs, lions, giraffes, and a variety of birds. After the game drive, you will have a stopover for lunch then later take a two-hour boat ride down the well-known Kazinga canal after lunch for an opportunity to see animals such as warthogs, buffalo, kobs, elephants, and hippos. On this excursion, guests get to see a wide variety of bird species.

DAY 11; TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

An early breakfast will be followed by an early morning transfer to Bwindi. Set out to reach Bwindi through the Ishasha Sector. This path takes you over to the Western Rift Valley. Where you will be able to see tree climbing lions. Take a wildlife drive in the Ishasha region prior to visiting Bwindi Forest National Park. then travel to Bwindi later in the day, spending the night in a hotel.

DAY 12; GORILLA TREKKING

As early as 6;00am, you will wake up and have breakfast then head to the park for gorilla trekking which begins at 8;00am. The guides will take you deep into the jungle so you can see the primates in their homestead. One of the most thrilling animals uses on earth may involve tracking the endangered Mountain Gorillas. Trekking will take us about 4 -5 hours as we get to meet the gorilla family and get to spend time with them in their territories. You will be able to take pictures with them and also learn about their characteristics. After this, you will have lunch and relax a bit then later visit a village or community after leaving the jungle if time allows. This will provide you a wonderful opportunity to witness how the locals live. You have the chance to meet and converse with the native people at this beautiful time in Bwindi.

DAY 13; TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK.

An early morning will start with breakfast then we check out of the hotels and set off on a journey to reach Lake Mburo National Park, taking in views of Mbarara Town and the stunning scenery of south-western Uganda. After stopping for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Center along way, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon reaching, we shall check into the lodge for the evening and overnight.

DAY 14; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND CULTURAL VISITS

Following breakfast in the morning, we will go on a game drive to look for animals such as buffalo, waterbucks, eland, zebras, and Rothschild giraffes. We will also get to see the park's various vegetation types, such as grassland and dry savannah. Following the game drive, we will have lunch before the afternoon activities. After lunch, have a cultural interaction with the locals in the nearby areas to learn about their way of life, culture and the different customs. Then later retire and spend the night and dine at the lodge.

 

DAY 15; BACK TO KAMPALA

After an early breakfast, the morning is reserved for sightseeing and relaxation; after that, you can drive back to Entebbe whenever it's most convenient, stopping for lunch en route at the Equator crossing before continuing to Entebbe.

GENERAL INFORMATION

CLOTHING:

Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.

BAGGAGE:

Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.

WATER:

You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 litres of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:
