3 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, Murchison Falls

Overview

The park is situated in North-western Uganda gazetted in 1926 as a game reserve. It is classified with Savannah grasslands, and the Victoria Nile that flows through separating it into two (the northern and southern bank). Murchison Falls squeezing their way through a gorge that is 8m wide.

The falls is also the largest park in Uganda with about 76 mammal species like elephant, antelopes, warthogs, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and crocodile populations and a variety of antelope and 450 bird species exposing a dazzling variety of water birds including the world’s most accessible wild population of the rare shoebill stork along the Nile delta on a launch cruise.

Day 1: Fly to Murchison falls National Park & Top of Falls

A morning flight to Murchison falls national park from Entebbe or Kajjansi Air strip. Arrival and check in the park and we shall drive through the Pakuba on our way across the Nile River with a lot of monkeys, Baboons, antelopes, buffaloes etc. we shall go to our Accommodation and we proceed to the Top of the Murchison falls. This is one of the most enjoying activities here with the running water squeezing through the narrow gap forming the permanent rainbow at sunlight. And after we shall come back to the lodge for Lunch and relax at Entikko Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

An early morning will embark with a game drive at 7;00am after your breakfast. You will go into the wild for a game drive about 4 hours. You will get to identify different animals in the wild like the antelopes, zebras, impala, giraffes, cheetahs etc. Following this game drive, you will embark on a two-hour boat ride to the base of Murchison Falls. Here, you will be able to see wildlife along the river banks and enjoy the stunning environment while on the boat tour. Other species including antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, etc that visit the banks to drink and escape the heat while hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and various water birds are common sight. Later on, you will return into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison falls - Departure

Being the last day of your tour here, have breakfast and we shall check out of the Lodge and fly back to Entebbe.
